Bees, like gremlins, aren't something to be afraid of.
They're actually pretty awesome if you understand them.
Aerodynamically, they shouldn't be able to fly.
Their wings are too small for their body mass. Physics said no.
Bees didn't read the memo and have been flying anyway for thirty million years without a single apology about it.
Like gremlins, if one comes near you, the best thing you can do is let them get on with being them.
They're not interested in you. You're furniture.
They've got a job and you're not it. The main difference being that, generally speaking,
a bee won't steal your whole jar of Nutell--
The likelihood is they'll bring more good to the world than they take from it,even if it's not immediately obvious.
A few small things make a real difference to bees — bee friendly plants, skipping the pesticides, leaving a shallow dish of water out. Find out more here
Cities that adopted the bee as a symbol understood something. They recognised the worker, the community, the resilience. In the interests of not harming any actual bees, we nominated one of the
grumpier gremlins to represent them.

Or maybe he just hasn't told his face that he's laughing.
